Summary | China Lake has an interest in upgrading weapons systems to utilize new concepts derived from the latest advances in GNC and autonomy. Current systems are based on heritage guidance concepts and this has caused existing systems lag behind the current state-of-the-art. The goal of this project is to apply Pseudospectral optimal guidance to enhance the performance of such systems. This project will benefit NPS officer students by providing thesis topics in a relevant area of research. The Navy will benefit via the advancement of guidance concepts that will provide tactical advantages to the warfighter. It is anticipated that 2 (or more) thesis topics for NPS officer students will result from this project. |
