Summary The objective of this research project is to develop a cognitive multifunction periscope sensor with LPI radar, communication, and EW capabilities. The work will develop preliminary software and hardware models and simulations to support multi-sensor RF and multiplatform surveillance systems for extended situational awareness of EM battlespace.
The following tasks include: a) waveform design and algorithm development; b) end-to-end baseband signal processing simulations; c) radar/comms antenna design and EW antenna design; d) transmitter/receiver block diagrams; and e) RF/IF frequency allocation and management.
