Summary COMBATXXI is a high-resolution analytic combat simulation that has been co-developed by MCCDC and TRAC-WSMR since 1998. The combined arms simulation represents individual entities (i.e., vehicles, aircraft, riflemen, etc.) at the tactical-level of operations up to reinforced battalion sized units. COMBA TXXI offers the capability to model amphibious operations and combined arms operations. The simulations can be used to conduct detailed sensor-to-shooter analyses to include direct and indirect fires as well as critical C4ISR links. The Marine Corps Operations Analysis Division (OAD) runs the Marine Corps Study System (MCSS), which solicits study nominations from across the Marine Corps on a quarterly basis. Each year, there are several studies that require high-resolution combat simulation. NPS will perform research to develop and test required functionality to enhance OAD's ability to more fully employ the analytic capabilities of COMBA TXXI, and will provide scenario development and analysis supporting conduct of OAD studies.
