Summary | The Survivability/Lethality Analysis Directorate (SLAD) of the U.S. Army Research laboratory (ARL) analyzes the survivability, lethality, and vulnerability (SLV) of current and future battlefield systems. To better account for the total force effects of information flows over a common network, SLAD, in collaboration with the Physical Science Laboratory (PSL) at New Mexico State University (NMSU), is developing a System of System (SoS) simulation. To reach its full potential, analysts must be able to efficiently determine the subset of input factors that exert the greatest impact on key response variables. To enable this capability, the Naval Postgraduate School's (NPS's) SEED Center for Data Farming will partner with ARL, SLAD and NMSU PSLin developing appropriate factor screening methods for multiple outputs. Information transfer will include a short course and a workshop in which at least one new algorithm will be tested. |
