Summary | In 2020, ECCO began to develop (i.e. write computer code) for an initial and partial version of the game. This proposal seeks additional funding to fully develop that game. The game itself focuses on the concept of border security. The game will incorporate different types of borders (urban, rural, land, maritime) and different types of illicit goods (weapons, people, material) being smuggled across those borders. Multiple players will play as different state institutions, such as the military, border guards, intelligence units, and local police. They will be encouraged to cooperate to curtail the flow of smuggled illicit goods, but they will also operate in a competitive environment where only one gets the credit and thereby wins. |
