Summary |
In 2008, Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding (NGSB) stood up a new 'Platform Integration & CONOPS' organization that seeks to develop and embed the optical usage of modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) throughout the entire ship design process in order to reduce risk and control cost. Current platform integration and CONOPS team capabilities include: Establish channels of open communication with both acquisition and service/joint end user communities; An integrated suite of engineering-level and process models that enable assessment of the ability o f platform subsystems to support a worst-case operational demand; Campaign, theater, mission and engagement-level software tools and the associated development capability that enable the simulative study of multiple maritime platforms acting in concert against projected threats; An active connection into the larger Northrop Grumman Corporation Cyber Warfare Integration Network (CWIN). |
