Summary | The Naval Postgraduate School supported the NESC GN&C Technical Fellow over the period July 2013 to June 2014, working to determine possible ways to achieve the goal of recovering three-axis attitude control capabilities of the Kepler spacecraft using only two reaction wheels. This proposal addresses follow-on work requested by the NESC over the period starting in August 2014 and continuing until the end of September 2015. The objective of this proposal is to continue work with NESC and its designates in a collaborative environment to evaluate options for extending the life of the Kepler mission using unique attitude control capabilities provided by NPS. |
