Summary This CEE customized workshop is designed to give the New Commander and senior leadership of NAVFAC a good “lift off” in their ability to work together, align themselves on strategic issues, create a culture of effective teamwork across the command, and to effectively communicate their strategic direction internally and externally.
All US Navy organizations face increasing pressure to improve their work processes and utilization of resources. Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) is a complex organization with three missions: 1) plan, build, and maintain sustainable facilities; 2) deliver environmental utilities and other base services, and 3) acquire and manage combat force systems and equipment. NAVFAC employs more than 18,000 personnel around the world. In conjunction with NAVFAC’s change of command, CEE has been asked to provide a Team Development and Strategic Communication Workshop for the new Commander, RADM Korka and his senior leaders across the various NAVFAC commands. The purpose of the workshop is to synchronize NAVFAC’s five major triads on NAVFAC’s new strategic plan and upcoming major initiatives. The five major NAVFAC Command Triads include: NAVFAC LANT, PAC, HQ, EXWC, and NCC. We expect 17 senior leaders will attend the workshop: senior leaders from each of the five triads plus a couple of other selected leaders from HQ.
