Summary | The objective of this research is to support the modeling and simulation efforts of spacecraft dynamics and control within RVES and RVSV. The research focuses on the autonomous guidance and control of a spacecraft that is approaching a tumbling Resident Space Object (RSO) for close inspection or docking, and on the development of an agile attitude control system for nanosatellites. A prototype flight unit of a novel nanosat attitude control system based on Control Moment Gyroscopes will be developed as part of this proposal. |
