Summary | The objective of this proposed work is to assist the NSWCCD team for "Advanced Hull Materials & Structures Technology (AHM&ST)," in particular in the technology area of bonded composite joints. A computer modeling and simulation, and experimental study will be conducted to understand the failure mechanism, modes, and strength under tension and compression loading; as well as the effects of carbon nanotubes on interface strength of the joints. |
