Back Modeling Support for Siren Project
Fiscal Year | 2020 |
Division | Graduate School of Engineering & Applied Science |
Department | Physics |
Investigator(s) | Smith, Kevin B. |
Sponsor | Naval Information Warfare Center, Pacific (Navy) |
Summary | In support of the Siren 2020 project, NPS will provide a review of environmental characterizations of the test area, both pre- and post-test acoustic propagation modeling, and link budget estimates based on various source/receiver geometries. Propagation modeling techniques involved will include both range-dependent, full-field models (e.g., PE models) and range-dependent ray models (e.g., Bellhop). Variable environmental conditions (e.g., rough surfaces) will also be incorporated into modeling approach. |
