Summary | The objective of the program is to provide summer internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students in the field of Acquisition, Tracking and Pointing (ATP), beam jitter control, and adaptive optics for directed energy applications. NPS has developed research programs related to High Energy Laser (HEL) beam control and several unique testbeds have been developed for these research programs. The focus of this program is to provide hands-on experience on beam control testbeds and introduce related HEL beam control technologies to the prospective college students. Students participating in this internship program will also have an opportunity to present their work during professional meetings, such as the DEPS symposium. |
