Summary This funding provides support for personnel (teaching, research and service/advisory to OUSD(C)), equipment, supplies, travel, contract support, and other expenses in conjunction with U.S. participation in the Defense Resources Management course, the Senior International Defense Management course, the International Defense Management Course, and five shorter courses, in addition to the DoD Financial Management Certification Program (FMCP) and Financial Management (FM) Online support. DRMI conducts professional education programs in analytical decision-making and resources management for military officers of all services and senior civilian officials of the United States and 170 other countries. In accordance with OPNAV 5420.210D, NPS will direct and supervise the daily operations of the Defense Resources Management Institute, Monterey, CA in management education courses. This document reflects the programmed DRMI operations budget and is subject to change per final FY2019 budget enactment. Funds available during the first quarter FY2019 are limited to $363,000. The mission of the DRMI is to conduct professional education programs in analytical decision making and resources management for military officers of all services and senior civilian officials of the United States and 170 other countries. DRMI was established in 1965 as an educational institution by the Secretary of Defense and is located at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. DRMI provides education to U.S. students in support of the DoD Financial Management Certification Program (FMCP); (approximately 54,000 military and civilian personnel require this training) and also to U.S. personnel involved in human resources management, resources management, logistics, supply, budgeting, financial management, decision analysis, and related specialties. DRMI also provides support to the OUSD(C) through workshops, courses, and the provision of materials in support of web-based course development and updates for the DoD FMCP.
