Summary	The Naval Postgraduate School has developed a SESG SME verified version of a naval systems engineering competency model based on the best industry and government models available through funding from ASN (RDA) in FY14. The competency model requires validation IAW the Uniform Guidelines for Employee Selection in order to create a version that is not only tailorable to deployment across all naval system commands, and for guidance for commands to tailor the development and assessment of the effectiveness of the model for their particular implementation, but can also be used for human resources functions, such as hiring, promotion, etc.
