Summary | The Naval Postgraduate School will conduct flight tests utilizing an existing LiDAR system and aircraft (CIRPAS Twin Otter) to emulate the forward-scanning sky walker concept. The flight tests will be used to validate the ability of the LiDAR to accurately measure the vertical velocity of the atmosphere and thereby infer the existence of thermal or other types of organized vertical motion. |
