Summary | The objective of this work is to develop local area forecasting tools and observing systems to provide state of the art weather forecasts to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers conducting prescribed burns at Fort Ord. Numerical model products and guidance will be refined and used to minimize potential smoke impacts due to burns planned at Fort Ord. The PI will work with burn personnel to determine times of ignition to mitigate adverse impacts. |
