Summary | The Remote Sensing Center at the Naval Postgraduate School will support the Office of the Secretary of Defense with research in the areas of Counter-Narcotics, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (DAVs), and Irregular Warfare. Ms. Zayas will be required to interface with senior officials within the Defense Department, State Department, Homeland Defense, law enforcement agencies, and intelligence organizations to identify and develop new capabilities to satisfy urgent needs in the areas of special operations, homeland security, asymmetric warfare, counter-insurgency, and others as required. Routine interaction with flag officers and senior executives will occur frequently. Subject matter expertise in the area of special technical operations and RF technologies shall be maintained. Industrial and government laboratory technology surveys will be conducted to facilitate the incorporation of emerging technologies into advanced capabilities. A key aspect of this position will be translating defense and intelligence needs into technology and system requirements. |
