Summary | This course is intended to help VA logistics professionals improve supply chains performance to better support health care operations. The course will systematically review the implications of supply chain design on the inter-related performance measures of cost, delivery response time, service levels (fill rates) and capacity. The goal of the course is to support VA logisticians in their efforts to provide top-level service and rapid response, at minimum cost. Beyond the narrow scope of the professional education course described in this document, this course is intended to be an exploratory step to investigating the efficacy of a broader involvement of NPS GSBPP with the professional development of VA logistics. |
