Sponsor TRADOC Analysis Center-Monterey (Army)
Summary The NPS Operations Research department will develop an optimization analysis capability, which addresses the force mix question by creating a prototype GAMS based optimization analysis tool. This project has its roots in various studies conducted by the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) Analysis Center (TRAC) in which TRAC developed several models to assess questions regarding the sufficiency and effectiveness of different organizations of Army forces.
The NPS research team will work closely with the TRAC Monterey (TRAC-M) study team to provide:
- Web-based graphical user interface to package the analytical tool.
- Documentation detailing the structure of the interface and how the model should be integrated into the tool.
- User documentation to provide analysts with a reference of how to operate the tool.
- Model results and supporting analysis will be written to a common database or data store with other model inputs for access by the GUI.
