Back Numerical Studies of Double-Diffusive Convection in the Interior of Giant Planets
Fiscal Year | 2008 |

Summary | Conduct numerical simulations of double-diffusive convection, a major mixing process in the Earth's oceans and in the interior of several giant planets. Inference from the theory and model runs will be used to formulate a parameterization scheme for the Oceanic General Circulation Models. The proposal work will foster partnership between UCSC and NPS. |
