Summary Provide additional Mobile Education Team (MET) seminars for the newly elected Governors and their Homeland Security teams in order to strengthen the U.S. capability to prevent, deter and respond to domestic terrorist attacks, and to build the intergovernmental, interagency, and civil-military cooperation that homeland security requires. The MET program helps to create a "multiplier effect" to maximize federal investments by sharing program content and research results with organizations across the nation to build national HS preparedness through education and social networking seminars.
Explore, research and develop executive level education programs for officials in the Pacific area, focusing on senior officials at the state, territorial, local and federal levels.
Research and develop options for the content and delivery methods of executive level training and education of emergency management professionals at the strategic and policy levels of responsibility.
Expand the current program outreach to include work with Local, State, Tribal and Federal Preparedness Task Force. Working with the Task Force will provide information to help develop curriculum in various homeland security disciplines, particularly preparedness. CHDS will provide leadership and assistance in drafting recommendations for the Task Force effort, which will progress into CHDS curriculum.
