Summary | The Maritime Information Exchange Model (MIEM) has been accepted for use in representing track and other critical data in the maritime domain, with joint applications possible by Navy and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) components. The MOVES team will examine the XML schema and data model aspects of MIEM and related technologies in detail. We will propose a set of exemplar use cases and the corresponding user interfaces for entering, searching, modifying and sharing data of interest. We will also lay out prototype interfaces suitable for task analysis. Subsequent tasks for software development will be estimated (both time and cost) as future work. |
