Summary |
The main issue to be addressed is the development of an analytic approach to optimize logistics personnel and equipment in support of assigned mission. Specific issues to be addressed in the research project are; - MOEs for measuring logistics responsiveness in the Pacific AOR - The base topology of the logistics network in the Pacific AOR - Strategic level decisions: where to place the main fixed logistics bases (source nodes in the logistics network) that maximize the MOEs across a wide range of possible scenarios. - Operational level decisions: supply levels and support capabilities (e.g., maintenance, medical, transportation) at the logistics base, including manpower and cost considerations. |
