Summary | This program addresses the need to reduce communications gap between local, state, and federal systems. As part of meeting the milestones for the ICBNRE project to demonstrate integration of existing sensor and mobile sensor systems used by state, local, and federal agencies, DHS S&T Chemical and Biological (CBD) Directorate took on the role of hosting Golden Phoenix 2010. Golden Phoenix is an annual large-scale training and demonstration exercise whose purpose is to provide first responders and emergency managers, federal, and military assets and opportunity to validate local, state, and federal capabilities. Its overall goal is to strengthen emergency preparedness and response systems using an integrated emergency management approach based on an all-hazards emergency management domain. |
