Summary | The Director of Training Readiness and Strategy (TRS) is responsible for policy formulation, program and budget review, and staff oversight for all military training programs to include Service, Joint, interagency, intergovernmental, and multi-national. MOVES Institute personnel will work independently and with other members of TRS, other Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, and Military Services to coordinate, compile, and review military component assessments of proposed utility-scale energy projects where there are potential impacts on military readiness activities. Represent OSD at staff-level interagency discussions and working groups with other federal agencies such as Department of the Interior, Department of Energy, White House Council on Environmental Quality, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Federal Aviation Administration, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and with state and local governments. Will also represent OSD at discussions with Congressional staff, the energy industry, and with non-governmental organizations. |
