Summary | Researchers at NASA Ames Research Center have requested the support of CIRPAS to test novel airborne techniques for assessment of biological activity in the world oceans. Since these are multi-spectral radiometric techniques a 13 channel sun photometer will also be flown to characterize the incoming solar radiation illuminating the targets. The NASA instruments will be integrated onto the CIRPAS Twin Otter and flown for 15 hrs. during the month of October 2011 over Monterey Bay, along with standard flight path and meteorological instrumentation CIRPAS routinely provides its collaborators. |
