Back Fundamentals of Data Farming Course for DST-Group Australia
Fiscal Year | 2016 |
Division | Graduate School of Operational & Information Sciences |
Department | Operations Research |
Investigator(s) | Lucas, Thomas W. |
Sponsor | Naval Education Training Security Assistance Field Activity (Navy) |
Summary |
The focus of the course will be on gaining practical experience with setting up and running simulation experiments. Participants will be introduced to important concepts, and jointly explore simulation models in an interactive setting. Demonstrations and written materials will supplement guided, hands-on activities through the experiment set up, design, data collection, and analyses phases. Data farming methods allow analysts and decision makers to quickly glean much more information from their simulation models than would otherwise be possible Consequently, they provide valuable support for those deciding how best to equip, organize, supply, maintain, train, and employ military forces. |
