Summary | The goal of this proposal is to demonstrate means for amplifying explosive detonation power and to ascertain the consequential effects on detonation physics and chemistry. The proposed effort is a direct follow-on to ONR contract N0001406WR20202. The work includes a continuation of a study of the effects of overdriving aluminized explosive using a modified equation of state and completing a series of experiments to demonstrate means for achieving detonation rates greater than 12km/sec from high performance HMX and CL-20 composition. |
