Summary | The first objective of this research is to transition to an operational forecast product the probabilistic forecasts of western North Pacific tropical cyclone formations, tracks, and intensities on 32-day and 15-day time scales beginning with the ECMWF ensemble and then developing multiple-model versions. The second objective is to develop and test this forecast capability in other global tropical cyclone basins where the U. S. Navy operates. |
