Summary | This effort will support development of EDGE, an RDT&E project sponsored by the Defense Information System Agency (DISA). EDGE is a coalition, transnational, irregular and asymmetric threats decision support system focused on small units based on proven Hybrid Warfare (Counter Violent extremist organizations [CVEO], counter illicit trafficking) technology. EDGE captures field data that utilizes geospatial, temporal, link and social network tools and techniques. This information, combined with effective visualization, categorization, filter and analysis, provides the decision maker decisive actionable shareable information. The innovation of EDGE is taking an existing client-server based decision making capability and re-architecting it to a fully distributed and interconnected cloud architecture utilizing the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Content-Based Mobile EDGE Networking (CBMEN) mobile cloud project. |
