Summary | Behavioral analysis/identification traffic analyst to apply well-chosen behavioral identifiers network traffic samples to evaluate what an application *does* because attackers can not change behaviors without first changing the application. The goal of this thesis is to research Department of Defense (DoD) web-based traffic to identify potential pattern improvements to assist network planning, traffic engineering, and application optimization. In addition, it will provide other researchers with more data for developing and evaluating new methods of cyber analytic discovery with large amounts of data. |
