Summary | The proposal supports research on countering Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). Research on the effectiveness of route clearance operations and UAV surveillance has been completed. Ongoing research continues on statistical analysis of route clearance operations, the effectiveness of using UAVs to identify IEDs, preventing IED terror campaigns in the United States, and constructing complex adaptive systems based on living systems to model insurgencies and their IED systems. |
