Summary The research team will provide study, analysis, modeling and simulation, and use of analytical tools support to assist the Chief of the Army G-8 Force Development Directorate's Warfighting Analysis Division (DAPR-FDA) in the fulfillment of the division's mission. The proposed study focuses on:
(1) Providing DAPR-FDA study, analytical, modeling, and continued technical support to the Optimal Readiness Allocation Model (ORAM) optimization model which is being used to examine budget year distribution of equipment to maximize the Army's equipment readiness.
(2) Providing study, analytical, modeling, and continued technical support to the Equipping Planning Model (EPM), a capital planning model used to aid the analysis of alternative EE PEG POM investment strategies to satisfy multiple objectives, e.g., funding the development and procurement of capabilities in terms of enhancing the Army's proficiency, sufficiency, and expectancy.
(3) Supporting student experience tours and staff exchanges between the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) Operations Research (OR) department and DAPR-FDA to facilitate the continued development of DAPR-FDA analysts. (4) Providing continued support for the Analysis Division staff so they become an integral player in the continued development of the models and resulting analysis.
