Summary |
Naval Postgraduate School and Perceptronics will collaborate on the development and validation of the Collaborative Assistance and Rapid Team Optimization System (CARTOS), an automated system that is capable of: a) organizing ad hoc teams of people to solve specific problems encountered by the organization, taking into account organizational structures and individuals' position in that structure; b) identifying group of people who should be in contact with each other by virtue of their parent organization's basic mission; c) identifying new areas of organizational capability or problem solving ability, based on the observed interests of the organization's members. The partners will conduct an exercise to validate the tool in parallel with standard critical incident methodology for the team formation, and to obtain feedback from first responders. Exercise results will be used to refine the model and identify additional requirements. |
