Summary | It has been theoretically demonstrated that superconductor-magnetic bilayers used on cylindrical and spherical surfaces can effectively cloak the structures from detection in a uniform static magnetic field. The goal of this basic research is to extend this initial discovery to more complex geometries, to non-uniform fields and to low-frequency time-harmonic fields. This project is a collaborative effort between the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), the Naval Research Lab (NRL) and, perhaps, NSWC, Carderock Division. Computational support is provided by NPS, with fabrication and measurement conducted by NRL and possibly NSWCCD. |
