Investigator(s) | Koyak, Robert A. |
Sponsor | NPS Naval Research Program (Navy) |
Summary |
Objectives: - Scoping: Which components or groups of components of the subject vehicles offer the greatest potential benefit from moving to condition- or usage-based preventative maintenance schedules? - Data completeness: Do current data collections at LOGCOM and its supported activities (e.g. Applied Research Laboratory, Penn State University) provide the information that is necessary to achieve the objectives of the investigation? If not, what additional data should be collected? - Data quality: Are existing data accurate and complete enough to support the development of condition- or usage-based preventative maintenance schedules? If not, to what extent can the situation be rectified? - Formulation: How should preventative maintenance schedules be derived from the available information, given multiple time/usage scales and the need to estimate reliability parameters? |
