Summary | The Joint Test and Evaluation Methodology (JTEM) program has been tasked with developing a framework for operational tests and evaluations of systems of systems in a joint context. This new framework for rapidly getting needed capabilities to warfighters presents challenges to the test and evaluation community. The effectiveness of the whole system of systems depends on the interactions and synergies between numerous combinations of the component systems. However, the expense and physical constraints associated with live testing will continue to restrict the number of in-the-field tests that can be done. Modeling and simulation (M&S) offers the potential to inform and augment the whole test and evaluation process. This project will investigate how best to integrate M&S into joint operational test and evaluation for systems of systems. |
