Summary | A faculty team from the Defense Resources Management Institute (DRMI) will provide a 2-week Mobile International Defense Management Course (MIDMC) for approximately 35 officers and civilians from the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces of Argentina from 9-20 September 2019 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as requested by the Security Cooperation Office, U.S. Embassy Buenos Aires, Argentina and the Naval Education and Training Security Assistance Field Activity (NETSAFA). The objective is to prepare participants to apply analytic decision making approaches and specific tools in managerial decision-making to make more effective and efficient use of defense resources. Topics to be covered include: Analytical tools for managerial decision-making, concepts and techniques of economic reasoning, management decision theory, budgeting, project management and quantitative analysis as they apply to decisions involving the allocation of scarce resources. The format will consist of lectures and small group break out periods, for discussion of problem sets and case studies. |
