Summary NPS will accomplish the following primary tasks:
1. Test if the I2R model can be used to explain response functions between two players seeking to pursue their own interests while avoiding escalations.
2. If the I2R model cannot explain response functions, offer alternatives.
3. Provide a final planning product that can accept intelligence and operational data.
The tasks for this work provide a generic mathematical model that can be used by planning teams to better approximate and forecast adversary response decision making criteria. The task is to begin with the I2R framework and variables, but if the model is not feasible, offer alternative models.
NPS's primary objective for this work is to provide an end product can model multiple adversarial relationships by changing the independent variables in the model.
