Scope: The foundation for all Navy senior leadership education programs is to transform flag officers and senior DON civilians into corporate citizens in the global environment. The Navy Executive Development Program (NEDP) focuses on courses that are relevant and current, reflecting the latest academic research and lessons learned from industry. Refinement in the areas of risk management and assessment, innovation and creativity, decision-making and total ownership cost/financial literacy are essential for creating corporate citizens at their executive level of responsibility. Objectives: The desired outcome of the Strategic Thinking (ST) curriculum is a cadre of flag officers and members of the SES community who demonstrate the ability to think strategically, execute the DON/CNO strategy, lead change, and produce more effective and efficient business operations. Proposal: Statistical account for tuition from Flag Officers and General Officers from non-USN service branches and US international partners via NETSAFA to attend USN funded Strategic Thinking course delivered by University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. |
