Summary | This proposed research and statement of work (SOW) seeks to develop a system of systems (SoS) modeling and analysis framework allowing engineers to define SoS architectures, analyze SoS level performance, analyze interoperability between the constituent systems, and derive and allocate requirements to the constituent systems. The research will model a SoS consisting of a ground vehicle, air vehicle, and command and control node performing a mission. We will use the models and conduct computational experiments to analyze SoS level performance. We will then validate our analysis by conducting field experiments with prototype systems at Camp Roberts. The research will deliver an interim progress report, final technical report describing the research, and all associated computer programs. The research will contribute to our knowledge of the relationship between individual system performance, interoperability, and SoS-level performance. |
