Summary This research will investigate techniques to demodulate low power signals in the presence of a co-channel interference caused by terrestrial digital television broadcasting. Based on available digital broadcasting standards of different regions of the world (such as ATSC for North America, DVB-T for Europe and others) the stronger interferer can be demodulated from the received signal and the desired weaker component estimated. A number of different techniques based on demodulation and blind signal separation will be evaluated.
