Summary	This is proposed follow-on research to proof-of-concept cooperative efforts performed by the NPS Remote Sensing Center in support of CRREL during 2013 - 2014. The primary research question to be answered is "How can spectral measurements and remote sensing be used to characterize soils to best determine soil physical properties?" The goal is to develop robust approaches to measurement and analysis of soil physical properties using field spectrometers and spectral remote sensing data.
