Summary The Army has several simulation packages (IWARS, OOS, Combat XXI) for use in studying Future Force Warrior (FFW) capabilities and requirements. Using current computing methodologies the broad explorations required to gain robust results are prohibitive in terms of computational and set up time. To facilitate the execution of large designs of experiments with the current Army simulations TRAC-MTRY requires the ability to easily integrate and execute these designs with said simulations in a high performance computing environment. This will result in more robust analysis supporting the acquisition of future equipment as well as cost and time savings resulting from reduced experimental set up time.
This work will support the execution of ongoing analysis for the FFW program using the IWARS model. This effort will develop tools to allow the use of IWARS in a high performance computing environment with large designs of experiments in a timely fashion. This will support the model test model approach being conducted this year in conjunction with live testing.
