Summary | The goals of this work are varied, and include a continuation of some previous efforts to study the flow of energy in the acoustic field in shallow water 2-D and 3-D environments. A primary goal will be to examine the information that is available from point measurements of the directional noise field, collected during previous and future tests, and potential applications of this data for geoacoustic inversion. Measurements from small, impulsive sources are also proposed for geoacoustic inversion studies from low-frequency acoustic vector sensors. |
