Summary Faculty from the Defense Resources Management Institute (DRMI) will provide a professional development education program for a cohort of up to 40 participants (civilian and military) from the Iraqi Ministry of Defense (IMOD). The program will consist of a 3-module Mobile International Defense Management course (MIDMC): each module will be a one-week mobile course delivered in Baghdad. The intent is for the same group of participants to receive all 3 modules. The objective of the program is to prepare participants to apply analytic decision making approaches and specific tools in managerial decision-making to make more effective and efficient use of defense resources. Topics to be covered include: Analytical tools for managerial decision-making, concepts and techniques of economic reasoning, management decision theory, budgeting, project management and quantitative analysis as they apply to decisions involving the allocation of scarce resources. The format will consist of lectures and small group discussion periods, for hands-on group work of problem sets and case studies.
