Summary |
This project is the second phase of a two year effort establishing and executing Interagency Partnerships with the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Emerging Capabilities and Prototyping (OASD EC&P) Rapid Reaction Technology Office (RRTO) to advance technologies in support of Special Operations Forces. It encompasses technology development for emerging technologies, prototypes and pilot programs supporting special operations, counter terrorism and other technology for specialized warfighter customers and their needs. This effort provides government oversight and management, oversight, and warfighter engagement and transition for projects funded wholly or partially by other DoD agencies in partnership with RRTO. The Pl will investigate, identify, evaluate and integrate classified and unclassified advanced concepts, CONOPs, field experimentation, operational demonstrations, and technology solutions, for countering terror with a focus on Special Forces and the Special Operations Commands. OSD RRTO is tasked in part with overseeing the transition of new technologies and approaches to the warfighters, linking products and capabilities to Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), the Combatant Commands and their Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs). The Fleets partnering with the intelligence, military, technical, academic and government agencies and communities, and Special Operations Command (SOCOM) in particular. |
