Summary | This project will generate new models and analyze the empowerment of non-state actors with the goal of providing the warfighter recommended strategies to solve, mitigate, and prevent threats by alternative means. Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) will prototype a new software platform and gather Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to model and consider emerging threats from decentralized communities of hackers, makers, and innovators. The effort leverages a multi-year effort resourced by the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (Threat Reduction and Arms Control), Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Office, with the objective of enabling a system of people, organizations, data, and technology that integrates, analyzes, and disseminates timely, tailorable, and actionable WMD information to support situational understanding and decision-making for The Department of Defense (DoD) and its interagency and international partners. |
