Summary |
This work revolves around assessing the role of conventional forces in the role of securing WMDs in a battlefield scenario. More specifically, the sub-tasks are as follows: 1. Provide an assessment of current threats. This involves examining potential battlefield WMD scenarios, such as those currently faced by the Second Infantry Division (2ID) on the Korean Peninsula. 2. Provide an analysis of roles and responsibilities among conventional forces, special operations forces, and allied forces, as well as relevant civilian agencies. 3. Examine current capabilities and doctrine for BCTs. This will require observation of the US Army's Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and High Explosive support element (20th CBRNE) current training efforts at the National Training Center (NTC). 4. Provide a framework of training requirements for brigade-sized elements to utilize in home station training. |
