Summary This course provided by NPS is intended to help U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) logistics professionals improve supply chain performance to better support health care operations. The course will systematically review the implications of supply chain design on the inter-related performance measures of cost, delivery response time, service levels (fill rates) and capacity. The goal of the course is to support VA logisticians in their efforts to provide top-level service and rapid response, at minimum cost. Beyond the narrow scope of the professional education course described in this document, this course intends to advance the relationship between NPS GSBPP and the VA towards improving the professional development of VA logisticians.
